I was listening to a local talk show host this morning (whose initials are Chris Core). He was discussing this topic at length. He made this observation so I give him the credit. Do you realize that this bill as it stands now rewards the worst immigration criminals? Those that have broken the law the longest get rewarded with citizenship. So, as he pointed out, it's like if you have been robbing banks for 5 years without getting caught, you may continue with our blessing. This bill is so confusing that I can't understand it. How is an illegal with questionable English skills supposed to?
One other thing-and this could only happen in Montgomery County MD.- the school system is rewarding students with community service hrs., which are required to graduate, to anyone who attends the illegal immigrant rally on Monday. So all these kids have to do is show up, prove they were there and they get credit. How this serves the community, I haven't the slightest idea. There has been a call for the superintendant of schools to resign. Apparently kids can earn hrs. for attending any protest or rally. So if your kid attends a "lets legalize marijuana" rally they can get credit.
The form, by the way, that they have to submit for credit is in Spanish....
